THE ORIGIN OF DESIGN:

Begining from the begining.
God could not have created the Heaven and the earth without a formidable plan for its accomplishment. The plan must have involved sitting down and first putting in place how every creature should appear (aesthetics), how each creature will act and react(function) and the survival ability of each creature(strenght). In other word, a purposeful scheme must have first been conceived in God's mind for acheiving the task of creation. There was a definite grand DESIGN for achieving purposeful Creation by God.
In Genesis Chapter 1:1, God did the real interpretation of the design plans He had set. Thus, HE created The HEAVEN and The EARTH... "In the begining, God created the Heaven and the Earth."(Gen.1:1).
It is interesting to note that, with the first two structures God created, He was satisfied with the creation of the Heaven but that of the Earth, there was need for Him to give more attention to its total appearance. Thus, in Gen. 1:2, it is noted that... "the Earth was without form, and void (empty); and darkness was upon the face of the deep (darkness covered the deep waters).There was CONFUSION in the composition of the Earth. God was not satisfied with the appearance of the Earth and His spirit moved upon the face of the waters (His Spirit was hovering over the waters), to see what could be done to remove the confusion that was seen at the creation of the Earth.
The Spirit of God began to redesign and recreat the Earth by introducing some more defined Aesthetic Elements for the beautification of the Earth.Thus, in Gen.1 from verse 3 to 24, He employed the MOST formidable tool for creation, THE WORD and HIS MOUTH.Thus, six times He spoke. . . 'And God said, let there be.'
And in each case, He was satisfied with what He redesigned, (And God saw that they were good).
When God became satisfied that the Earth looked as beautiful and glamorous as the Heaven,He the said, 'Let US make MAN(HUMANS) in our IMAGE and in our LIKENESS..' Let them resemble us and possess our CHARACTER and perceive and do things the way WE have done, creating these beautiful structures.Gen.1:26.
In Gen. 1:27 and Gen.2:7, God created man by forming man from the dust of the ground and inserting into man, His(God's)SOUL compose completely of what God stands for by blowing into man, the BREATHE of LIFE.From then on, man became a living being. So, if you are alive and reading this blog, it is simply because, God is alive in you. You must do everything to reflect the soul of God inside of you.

EMPOWERMENT OF MAN:

In Gen. 2:1, it is recorded that the Heaven and the Earth and everything in it were completed. But the second part of Gen.2:2 says, ' God stopped the work he was doing (Today's Bible Translation - GOD'S WORD VERSION), WHY? Because, God on the sixth day, created MAN with all the creative abilities of God inside of inside him.. and God, blew the breathe of life into man! He(God) therefore empowered man with a single clear cut purpoe: To rule the Earth by continuing the creative work of God on earth!!! In Gen.1:26, the second part says, "Then God said, let them rule the fish in the sea,the birds in the sky, the domestic animals all over the earth, and all the animals that crawl on the earth." This also is because, man is not an ordinary being.Man is god... " I say ye are gods".
For these purpose therefore,God proceeded to empower man in Gen. 1:28, " God blesed them and said,be fertile, increase in number, fill the earth, and be its Master. Rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and every animal that crawls on the earth - every living, breathing animal". And so it was and still is today.
God is actually saying that man, be productive and reproduce your number and the number of things that are beautiful upon the earth, fill the earth with new creations and be the MASTER of the earth itself; because I, God, have put in you, all those thing I could have created on the seventh da. I had to take my rest.
The Almighty God saw at this point that all the things he has created and all the empowerments and authority He had given man were good, that is, beatifull.
Therefore, if you are a designer in any field/profession, you were enpowered by God since from the foudation of time.That you became the designer you are today, is not by your strength or you wisdom, but God chose to put His creative power in you to reflect His Glory on EARTH.

MODERN DAY APPLICATION OF THE DESIGN EMPOWERMENT BY GOD:

This is the crux of this blog.
In the subequent editions, we shall be talking about outstanding designers and their deign works and how they apply this God giving wisdom and the challenges they face. As my Bishop will always say, "If the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable".
The purpose of this series, is to exhault God upon the earth by encouraging the old and the new designers to know God and live triumpahnt life upon the earth.
We should not be in a hurry to leave this earth but live to fulfill this mandate of managing what God has entrusted to us very well. When you go in time and in a hurry, God will ask you what have you done on and with the earth I gave you to have DOMINION over.
